Relief Partners Uganda promotes opportunities for youth to showcase their innovations and enterprise ability to grow their agricultural businesses through training and nurturing agricultural innovations, value addition, linkages with markets, financers, input and other support services.
This programme promotes innovations to transform subsistence agriculture to agribusiness, income generation and employment creation for young people hence uniquely putting the youth in the driving seat of their own agenda.
This is achieved through Provision of platforms to profile young agripreneurship, facilitation of linkages between stakeholders, showcasing innovations, financing and marketing, business development support services and convening Agribusiness Forums.
The youth stage of a human being is a foundation for a future ahead. However, a weak foundation has lower chances of guaranteeing a successful future and the opposite side of the statement is a reality. Besides, over 75% of Uganda’s population are youth, implying that investing in the youth is synonymous to securing a national insurance policy.
Relief Partners Uganda equips young people with practical vocational and technical skills that prepare them for self-employment, entrepreneurship, and sustainable livelihoods. Through hands-on training, mentorship, and innovation-focused learning, youth are empowered to apply modern agricultural and technical practices that improve productivity, encourage value addition, and strengthen their ability to participate in the growing agribusiness sector. The programme helps young people build confidence, increase employability, and create income-generating opportunities within their communities.
Relief Partners Uganda promotes digital literacy and media skills among youth to help them adapt to the rapidly evolving digital economy. Young people are trained in the use of digital tools, online communication, media production, and technology-driven solutions that support agribusiness growth, innovation, marketing, and networking. Through digital empowerment, youth are able to access information, connect with markets, promote their enterprises, and use technology as a tool for creativity, learning, and economic transformation.
Relief Partners Uganda supports youth entrepreneurship and livelihood development by nurturing innovative business ideas and connecting young people to opportunities for growth. The programme provides business development support, mentorship, financial literacy, market linkages, and access to networks that enable youth to establish and expand sustainable enterprises. By encouraging agribusiness innovation and enterprise development, the initiative helps young people generate income, create employment opportunities, and transition from subsistence activities into profitable and resilient businesses.
