A teacher at Nanvunano primary school in Mayuge district guides learners on how to fill the holiday packages we recently donated to the school. We donated over 1000 holiday packages, 1000 geometry sets, 1000 rulers, and many other scholastic materials to the school for pupils to keep busy during holidays.

Urban schools are privileged to access almost enough scholastic
materials compared to rural schools. We believe that all learners be it
in the villages or urban settings have the same capacity to perform and
compete provided they access up to date reading materials, other
scholastics, school fees and meals at school.

With support from our education projects, learners in Busoga region can at least smile back home because we provide them with support materials along with moral/peer education cautioning them to stay in school. This is a component of the MIND CITY PROJECT which aims at enhancing the right mindset to education and success. As a result, we have equipped all learners with positive thinking and now they perceive education as a life changing avenue.

Mindset sessions are a great change tool toward altering people’s thinking about personal development and community development at large. We don’t just donate to people and move away. It further creates laziness and entrenches vulnerability because people do not use their potential to unlock hidden powers. When they participate in the processes that change their lives, they become active, own the projects and this leads to sustainability and avoiding future need for charity.

Our project officer engages women in a mind set change session before giving out hand hoes to them. this month alone, we donated 900 hand hoes to women in Mayuge district to ensure food sustainability.
